July 2007 Great American Weekend was a great success! We want to thank everyone who came out to help us raise over $750! A special thank you to Danielle and Sammy August (for making those excellent dog cookies), Jaimie Faerman (for also making great dog cookies along with catnip toys and face painting), Wendy Gavis- Lanjo for providing the public with great literature, and out teen members, Kerry Soeller, Danielle Williams along with Haley Stuart and Shannon Gjersvik who did a wonderful job face painting.Thank you to all the officers, Lynn Germiller, Stephanie Faerman and Mary Lotze who put in hours of hard work at the booth.
We also greatly appreciate all those who came out to support us over the two days!

In further news...
We are in the process of applying for our 501(c)(3) status.
By the end of August, we will be able to participate in more activities as a non- profit organization with our new tax exempt status! 
We are waiting to hear back from the Goshen Meals-On-Wheels program. GAWL is hoping to soon implement a pet meals-on-wheels program for those senior citizens of Goshen who are homebound and unable to shop for pet food for their companion animals.
We, at the Goshen Animal Welfare League would like to extend our heartfelt sympathy to member, Marcia Faber, for the loss of her daughter, Althea. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Marcia, and we will always be here for you.
